Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. While growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music as well as the traditional boleros. They also played the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is passionate about operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of the dramatic stage. Her mother taught her how to sing. She began intensifying her vocal instruction under Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when his name was known as a famous Mexican opera Tenor. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera chamber and choruses. Following her move to The United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects, both as an instructor and performer because she is passionate about music and arts. Ana has been an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the traditional music in the present.
